As a Phoenix Arizona baby photographer, I found my joy in offering a one-of-a-kind baby photography experience to new parents. Especially in times of Covid, where the thought of taking a new baby out in the world may be terrifying, I believe that everyone will be most relaxed and safe in their own four walls. If you hesitate thinking that your home may not be picture worthy, I hope that this blog post “Top spots for your home session with Phoenix Arizona Baby Photographer” will help ease your concerns.
While most details are discussed in a virtual or in-person consultation prior to your newborn photo shoot, I will kindly ask you to walk me through your home upon my arrival. I will be on the lookout for the rooms that offer the best natural light and the perfect spots for you to sit and snuggle your baby. While your home does not need to be perfect, I recommend you focus on decluttering your space. Please also give windows and/or mirrors a quick wipe, as streaks or dust on these surfaces can be very obvious in photographs. You will also find me moving items that may appear distracting in photographs. Whether that’s a remote control on your night stand or your cell phone left on the dresser, those are items that I’d like to avoid in your baby portraits. I promise I won’t turn your home upside down.
The master bedroom is typically a great spot for your newborn session. I’ll have you sit on your bed, snuggle up, and soak in all those sweet moments with your little angel. The majority of the posed newborn portraits are also captured there. Posing your little angel on the bed beautifully showcases the size difference when he or she was only a few days old. The nursery is another favorite location. I love getting some images of your baby sleeping in his crib as well as some shots of you rocking your baby into a peaceful sleep. The lighting in the featured blog post “Top spots for your home session with Phoenix Arizona Baby Photographer” was best in the family’s guest room. I believe that everything happens for a reason. The yellow curtains and the yellow pillow in combination with the tan sheets worked perfectly with Dane’s reddish hair.
As a professional baby photographer, I am trained to photograph in ideal and not so ideal lighting situations. I can find the beauty in any home. Generally speaking, as long as you have some windows and somewhere to sit, we can create some magic. If you need some guidance on how to prepare for your newborn shoot, please click here.
