How can I not share this precious Ashburn Virginia family photography session? Shelby inquired about a family photography session on her dog’s second birthday. She was hoping for a few family portraits of the newlywed couple with focus on their four legged “child”, Mia. Along with the inquiry came a photo of their precious Australian Shepherd. Having a soft spot for dogs, I fell in love with her big brown eyes and agreed to the session. I met Shelby, Colin and Mia just a couple of weeks later. Boy am I glad I did.
Having exchanged a few emails with Shelby, I was really looking forward to their session. She expressed interest in meeting at Rust Manor in Leesburg. It’s not a secret that I like taking pictures there, ha! Mia was curious about meeting me. I’m sure my dog’s scent is what truly got her attention. We walked to the Rust Manor House for a first few family portraits and concluded the session in a wide open field just a short walk away. While it can be challenging working with animals, Mia did an incredible job. Those treats must have been worth it for her to obey her folks. I swear I caught her smiling in some of the images😍 Families, please feel free to bring your pets as long as it’s not a snake!
