Guys, this is a story worth telling. Last month I was in Germany when Svenja inquired about a maternity session with me. I told her that I was in Germany and that I would get back to her upon my return to the United States. It turns out, Svenja is from the small town where my husband and I built our first home back in 2012. She knows people I befriended during my time in Germany, not to mention that she is now living in Ashburn, Virginia like myself. Isn’t that weird? It’s a small world after all🎶
Svenja agreed to meet at Manassas Battlefield Park in Virginia. She stopped by my house a day before her session to go through some of the maternity gowns I have available for my clients. Seeing her slender body and that cute little baby bump, I convinced her to go with the fitted maternity gown. I could tell she felt a bit uncomfortable, but holy effing moly did she look stunning. I met Svenja and her hubby in the early evening hours. Upon their arrival, I was a bit nervous hearing the thunder rollling around. Luckily the rain held off and we ended up getting the most perfect lighting.
The couple welcomed a baby girl just a short week later. The little princess arrived two weeks early. I have already visited the three of them at the hospital and I will see them again next month for an in-home newborn portrait session.
Svenja, you looked absolutely amazing. I enjoyed capturing these memories for and with you. Your baby girl is such a beauty. I’m looking forward to seeing all three of you again soon. Until then, enjoy parenthood to the fullest. They grow up so fast.
