Home is not a place, it’s a feeling!

If you have been following my work you may know that I have recently moved here from Germany. Today I would like to invite you on a small tour through our house that we built four years ago in Achim, Germany. Achim is a town near Bremen in Lower Saxony. I took these images right before we were getting ready to put the house on the market. Last summer we sold it within just one week of putting the house up for sale, and, although we do miss the house a lot, we have not regretted the decision to move back to America. A few of our moving boxes are still not unpacked and some of the furniture is yet to be unwrapped. If only we had more space in our current rental home😅

I just came across this quote and couldn’t agree more: “Home is not a place, it’s a feeling!” Although we built our dream house a few years ago, we have always felt strongly about wanting to live closer to family in the USA and raising our daughter in the beautiful country that it is. I can proudly say that I am happy to be here. I’m happy to call America my home.

Living in Ashburn, Virginia, I am offering maternity, newborn, and family photography services in Northern Virginia. If you like my work, please be sure to show your support by liking my page on Facebook and following me on Instagram. Thank you!
