In search for a meaningful birthday gift to his wife, Tiffany, Mark inquired about the maternity session last month. To some of you, this inspiring couple may seem familiar as they have publically shared their journey to pregnancy though IVF. Their story went viral and has touched thousands. In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the process in which eggs and sperm are combined outside the body in a laboratory. Once an embryo is formed, it is then transferred to a woman’s uterus. Tiffany and Mark have struggled with infertility for two years. They have tried hormone supplements as well as several rounds of intrauterine insemination (IUI) before turning to IVF. Despite the physical “torture” that the couple was dealing with to conceive their little miracle, the medical bills were also adding up tremendously. Learning about their story, I decided to give the gift of photography and offer a complimentary maternity session to celebrate the end of their pregnancy journey.
Residing in Herndon, Virginia, the California couple decided to have their maternity portraits taken at Rust Manor in Leesburg, Virginia. The location reminded them of their wedding venue and they had been wanting to check it out. We met around 6 p.m. to catch the golden hour as well as the sunset. It was just perfect. Capturing these special memories for Tiffany and Mark, I could literally feel the love for their sweet girl, Avery. I look forward to meeting her soon.
