Thank you for stopping by to check out these lovely baby portraits that I took at Manassas Battlefield Park in Virginia. I love the Manassas Battlefield Park and highly recommend it as a site for photography sessions. It was cloudy with temperatures in the high 50’s, just perfect conditions for a lovely photography session on a Saturday morning in November. I recently decided to focus my business on maternity, newborn and baby photography since this is what I truly enjoy photographing. I plan to register my business in the beginning of the new year, so if you are expecting next year please make sure to contact me. Faith is almost eighteen months old and not really a baby anymore. However, I adore this little girl and her family so much that I decided to take their photos regardless. It was not easy keeping up with this little peanut. Probably one of the reasons I chose to stick with the less mobile models? Getting her to look at me was almost impossible. I do think, however, that one does not have to look straight into the camera for a good picture. I actually prefer catching the moments, when children, for example, are in deep thought or feel less observed. With the holiday season around the corner, I brought a little Christmas pillow to use as a prop for this session. I think Faith found the grass to be more interesting though? Thank goodness the “hotdog song” grabbed her attention. It’s not unusual to hear me sing when working with little ones. Dear Tessa and Mario, I am so thankful that I got to take these pictures for you. You have a wonderful little girl. Happy holidays to all of you! I took these images through the railing of the house’s porch.
