Thank you for your interest in my blog post about the stunning newborn photography with siblings in Leesburg, Virginia. Meet baby Charles and his beautiful sisters Sydney and Taylor. Photographing newborns and siblings is a huge challenge. I was, however, looking forward to working with the two ladies. I had met them a few weeks ago when Charles was still all snugged up in his mommy’s womb. I was really excited to see everyone again? When siblings are old enough to follow directions, it makes my job a whole lot easier. Charles, believe it or not, made me work hard the day of his session. All the ideas I had in my head I could pretty much forget about. The swaddle wrap made him happy and proved to be my lifesaver, but trying to show off his little fingers just wasn’t in the cards. I did succeed with his left hand at least? All the cute little outfits and poses I wanted to try just didn’t work for him. As a newborn photographer, I have to make the best out of every session. Charles seemed to be comfortable in the basket, so I tried to get a variety of angles and poses with just that one prop. My absolute favourite thing to capture are details. I loved all the tiny hair running down his cheeks, so I wanted to make sure to capture exactly that. When booking a newborn photography session you need to be aware, that some of the poses you might have seen in a previous session cannot always be achieved. Every baby is different. I never force newborns into any poses. Dear Johnson family, thank you for trusting me with capturing these memories for you. You have an amazing family and I hope that I will get to see all of you again.
