These sessions offer a truly full-service experience including access to the client wardrobe, and professional hair and makeup for mom so you can feel your most beautiful and confident before we even begin.

Simplicity Photography Sessions
Simplicity Sessions are shorter in length (approximately 30 minutes) and take place in-studio. Ideal for seasonal minis, milestone moments, or occasions where a few beautifully captured family portraits are all you need. Full access to the client wardrobe is included.
Please note: Simplicity Sessions are not available for newborn photography.

The First Year Collective
SHP's First Year Collective is the most beloved option for Washington DC families wanting to document every milestone of baby's first year. Choose between 3 or 4 Signature Sessions, all scheduled within a 12-month period. Sessions include wardrobe styling, and professional hair and makeup at every session.

The Big Reveal
About 1–2 weeks after your session, we'll gather in-studio or over Zoom to see your finished portraits together for the very first time. I'll walk you through your gallery, help with artwork selections, and make sure every piece you choose feels exactly right for your home.

Delivery
Your hand-crafted family portrait heirlooms are complete and ready to come home. Approximately 2–4 weeks after your reveal appointment, I'll arrange pickup or delivery , whichever works best for your Washington DC family.

WHAT IF MY CHILDREN WON'T SIT STILL OR COOPERATE DURING THE SESSION?
For outdoor sessions in Washington DC, the golden hour — roughly 60 to 90 minutes before sunset — is ideal. The light is warm, soft, and genuinely flattering for everyone. Studio sessions offer much more flexibility and can be beautifully lit throughout the day, which is a wonderful option for families with younger children on a nap schedule.
