This natural newborn photography session led me all the way to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Our nation’s capitol happens to be one of my most favorite cities in the United States. I most certainly would love to do more sessions there. Ashley was looking for simple newborn images of her beautiful baby girl. I love when parents know exactly what they’re looking for. It helps me prepare for their session and to also make sure I meet their expectations. Especially with baby girls, I love to use headbands or hats that are noticeable. Who doesn’t like to dress up little girls? 😍 Ashley went for simplicity and I really love how these images turned out. Less is more, right? 😉
Baby Alexandra was a dream. She slept through most of the session until the midwife stopped by the morning I took her images. I normally ask parents to not schedule any other appointments the day of their session. Ashley, however, had difficulties nurturing her princess, so I understood the urgency of the visit. When the midwife left, I proceeded to taking Alexandra’s pictures and included her mom in the end. Thankfully Alexandra went back to sleep. Ashley ended up calling me “baby whisperer”. I guess I do have a magic touch when it comes to calming babies and getting them to go back to sleep. 💪
Dear Ashley and Kamyar, your daughter is absolutely beautiful. I could not be happier with the outcome of my visit. Thank you so much for trusting me with taking her newborn images. I truly enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again.
