For this sweet newborn photography session I went to visit the Ronan family in Purcellville, Northern Virginia. Brody’s mom contacted me via Facebook, as I am currently offering free voluntary photography sessions to build my portfolio. Specializing in newborn photography in Northern Virginia and the Washington D.C. metro area, I believe that it’s more relaxing for both the parents and the newborn baby for me to take their photos at their own home. Brody is a very sweet baby. He slept through most of the session and preferred to be swaddled almost all of the time. Brody also has a proud brother who made sure to watch what I was doing with his little buddy 😉 Of course he got to be in some of the pictures with his new baby brother. It’s not easy capturing a newborn with young siblings, but Gunnar did a really good job. Working with natural day light, the light source becomes challenging at times. The morning of this sweet newborn photography session in Purcellville, Northern Virginia the sun kept playing tricks on me. Luckily Brody’s parents were assisting me at keeping the sun out of their kitchen window. That’s where I had plenty of space to set up for the photography session. I am in love with details. At every session I try to make sure to capture the sweet and tiny details such as eye lashes, lips, toes or hands. Babies grow up so quickly that it is easy to forget how tiny they were. Thank you Christine and Ed, for trusting me with taking Brody’s photos and helping me build my portfolio. I really enjoyed meeting you and would love to keep taking your family photos in the years to come.
