Maternity photoshoots are some of my favorites to shoot. They’re a phenomenal way to capture the bond between you and your unborn little one. They also provide both mom and dad with a chance to reconnect and get a little scandalous! A boudoir maternity session in Northern Virginia, in particular, can help you feel sexy again during a time when you may not feel your most glamorous.

We’ll Talk Through Your Vision Beforehand
Prior to the big day with me as your northern Virginia maternity photographer, we’ll confirm your vision for your maternity photograph session. This is when we’ll narrow down how much skin you want to show, the style of the photos you’re looking for, and any other details. We will go over hair and makeup if you want your partner to join in, and what you’ll want to wear!
We’ll also go over all of this upon arrival to ensure your vision is still the same. It’s totally okay if you originally told me you want to cover up a bit more, but that day you decide “screw it…I’m going to show my baby bump off!”. Let’s do it! The goal is to make sure you feel comfortable during your boudoir maternity session in Northern Virginia!
Your Photographer Will Provide a Wardrobe
Something unique about me as a maternity photographer in Northern Virginia is that I provide some wardrobe options. You’ll need to bring the undergarments, but I do supply some dress options for my boudoir clients. The outfits I provide vary, so I have something for any mama, whether they want to show a lot of skin or just some sneak peeks!
Of course, if you choose a different photographer, you’ll want to inquire whether or not they have outfits for your shoot. Even if they don’t, they should be able to help you choose an outfit for your big day.
I’ll Have You Pose in Ways That Make You Feel Sexy, Confident, and Beautiful
Boudoir maternity sessions in northern Virginia are meant to help you embrace your body as it is right now. This is a time in your life that you likely won’t have again for some time. It’s a beautiful time when you’re quite literally creating a new life, and that is one of the most magical experiences!
However, during these 9 months, your body does change a lot, so it makes sense that you may be feeling a little…off. I want to help reignite that inner flame so that you can see how stunning you are with that baby glow! You deserve to feel sexy, confident, and beautiful, and I can’t wait to help you do that!
We’ll Use Some Props
Depending on the style preference of the mama, we often use furniture props during the shoot. For example, we may use a couch, a bed, some flowers, etc. The purpose is to capture you in a fairly natural environment but with a professional twist. Some northern Virginia photographers like to overly pose during boudoir maternity shoots. I, however, prefer a more natural take, even with props. You and your partner can lay on the bed together, or I can capture you standing beautifully alongside a naturally lit window.
Your Partner May Join in For Some Shots
If your partner wants to, by all means, they can join in your boudoir maternity session in northern Virginia! Boudoir maternity photoshoots are a chance for you to reconnect with your partner. They’re to help you see each other in that longing light…you know…the one that got you here in the first place! They’re a phenomenal way to capture the love you have for each other and for your growing family.
