Every family I meet wants something a little different from their newborn photos. Some moms dream about an heirloom album and a gallery wall in the nursery. Others want gorgeous images on their phone to send to the grandparents the same week. I designed my newborn photography packages with both families in mind, so here’s a look at how each one works.

The Signature Session: My Full-Service Newborn Photography Experience

The Signature Session is my most elevated newborn photo experience, and it’s the one I recommend for moms who want every detail handled for them. Your $350 session fee covers personalized planning, access to my client wardrobe, complimentary professional hair and makeup if you’d like it, a relaxed full-length session, and custom artwork design after your session.

We can photograph your newborn in my studio, in your home, or outdoors. About one to two weeks after your session, we’ll meet in the studio or over Zoom for your gallery reveal, where you’ll see your photos for the first time and I’ll help you design the prints, albums, or wall art that suit your home. Digital images and artwork are purchased separately at that appointment, and most of my clients invest $1,800 or more in their final collection.

The Simplicity Session: All-Inclusive Digital Newborn Photos

My Signature Session Experience and First Year Collective are at the heart of what I do, and they make up most of my calendar each month. For families who would simply prefer a digital gallery, I also offer the Simplicity Session, with a very limited number of spots available each month.

For $1,200 all-inclusive, you still get personalized planning, access to my client wardrobe, and a relaxed, guided full-length session. Every image is hand edited by me, and all of your final digital images are delivered in an online gallery that’s ready to download and share. A $300 retainer at booking saves your date.

Because Simplicity Sessions are so limited, I recommend reaching out as early in your pregnancy as possible if this is the option you have in mind.

The First Year Collective: Maternity, Newborn, and Milestone Sessions in One Package

The First Year Collective is my most popular option, and it’s the one I wish every expecting mama heard about early in her pregnancy. 

You choose three or four Signature Sessions scheduled within a 12-month period, covering your maternity session, your newborn session, a 6 month session, and your baby’s first birthday.

Three sessions come with a $900 session fee and four sessions come with a $1,200 session fee, which saves you $150 or $200 compared with booking each Signature Session on its own. 

Collective members also receive priority booking, complimentary professional hair and makeup whenever you’d like it, a $200 album incentive at each ordering appointment, and a complimentary smash cake to celebrate your baby’s first birthday. 

Digital images, albums, and framed artwork are ordered at each appointment, so your collection grows right along with your baby.

Why a Maternity and Newborn Photography Package Makes the First Year Easier

I love meeting families during pregnancy. By the time your baby arrives, we already know each other, we’ve talked through your style, and your newborn session is on my calendar. That’s one less thing to coordinate during those sweet, sleepy first weeks at home.

What to Expect From Your Newborn Photography Session

Every package starts with a conversation. 

On our pre-consultation call, we’ll talk through your goals, wardrobe ideas, and whether a studio, in-home, or outdoor session fits your family best, and I’ll answer any questions you have about newborn photography pricing. 

Once you’re booked, we’ll set up a styling consultation in the studio or virtually, where you can choose pieces from your own closet or my client wardrobe and I’ll help coordinate the whole family’s looks.

If you’d like hair and makeup, I’ll take care of the scheduling so you can relax and enjoy being pampered on session day. My newborn sessions are calm and baby-led, with time built in for feeding and soothing whenever your little one needs it. About two to four weeks after your gallery reveal, your custom portrait heirlooms are ready, and I’ll arrange pickup or delivery for you.

A Quick Note on Newborn Mini Sessions

I’m asked about newborn mini sessions often, and I don’t offer them. Newborns need time to settle in, eat, and get comfortable, and a short time slot doesn’t allow for that. Every newborn session I photograph is a full-length session so your baby can set the pace and you can actually enjoy the experience.
