Of course, we had to spend some time in their daughter’s nursery.
Dad had been hard at work getting everything ready for his little princess, including carefully stenciling the wall to create a beautiful space for her. In fact, he was still in full nursery-prep mode when I arrived—he actually had paint on his hands during their maternity session!

One of my favorite parts of photographing families throughout their baby’s first year is getting to know the people behind the photographs.
During their maternity session, I learned that these two are high school sweethearts. Now, after growing up together, they were standing in the nursery they had created while waiting to become parents for the first time.
Knowing those pieces of a family’s story matters to me.
I don’t want my clients to feel like they are simply showing up, smiling for a camera, and leaving. The more I learn about you, your relationship, and what matters to your family, the more personal I can make your photographs and your overall experience.

Documenting Baby’s First Year From the Very Beginning
The First Year Collective is designed for parents who don’t want to choose just one milestone to preserve.
For this family, their maternity session was only the beginning. Their three-session Collective allows us to document their journey from pregnancy to welcoming their baby girl and, eventually, celebrating her first birthday.
There is something really special about looking back at the entire story together—the anticipation before baby arrives, those tiny newborn details, and then the personality that emerges throughout that first year.
My goal is also to make the process as easy as possible for my families. From planning and wardrobe assistance to professional hair and makeup when desired, each session is thoughtfully planned so parents don’t have to figure everything out on their own.
